Phuket Trip

Finally I had the chance to get my passport exposed to international stamp.. Of course not Singapore lah.. Although Singapore is international but so near what... What I meant was other than Singapore.. Hahah

Anyway, I just changed hop onto a new company.. Finally, automotive industry and marketing position.. hahahah.. and the best part is on my first week in the job, I get to join the company trip to Phuket, Thailand.. haha.. Nice leh.. and when come to think about it, I get to travel a lot.. especially to Thailand.. Eh harlo.. Not those kind of thingy that you are thinking right now.. For work lah.. Coz the company I'm working in, the principal company is in Thailand.. Not for you know what.. hehe..

I had tremendous fun during my Phuket trip and preety excited though.. The kampung boy is finally going international.. Sei Mei (means die already or not in Cantonese).. Of course!!.. The schedule was really tight for the trip but had fun.. No doubt 'bout that.. The time when we arrived at the airport, we're greeted by their traditional greeting "Sawadeekap" and they put the seashell necklace on your neck.. Sorry.. No photo on that.. then we move on to board the bus.. But of course, a package trip means a package trip and it will not be complete without visiting those place to buy stuff.. At the arrival hall, we're greeted by a tour guide by the name of May.. I can say she's the funniest, friendliest and most helpful tour guide that Thailand can offer.. Non-stop entertainment and jokes put out by her throught out the journey.. I give her thumbs up..

Our tour guide... Ms. May...

First stop.. Filling up our stomach.. This little restaurant in Phuket was recommended by our tour guide.. It's not those tourist spot restaurant lah.. It's just a little house converted into a restaurant by the roadside near the airport.. The belacan chilli here is fantastic.. You got to try it.. Something you cannot get over in Malaysia.. Trust me..

The little restaurant we visited for lunch...

My colleagues having fun eating the food.. Imagine they finished 3 bowls of belacan..

Second Stop.. the Gem centre.. they organised a video presentation on their products and how they mined the gems.. Apparently they mined these gems such as sapphire and ruby in a big scale and they show us how they do it as well.. Hm.. Interesting... It's sort of like a tour around the factory and the tour will lead us to a showroom for those who want to purchase the products.. And I can tell you there have thousand and one types of design for you to choose from.. Earings, pendants, bangles, necklace and etc.. But sorry.. cannot take photo in there.. They scared we rob them later.. ahaha.. Oh Oh.. They even have pearls..

Me at the entrance.. Sitting right next to the "Please Do Not Sit Here" sign...

Men at Work....

The best part of this visit is.. FREE FLOW of beer and liquor... :o)

Me having a JD Coke with my colleague..

The next stop, we were brought to visit the most famous Siam temple in Phuket.. The place is big and there's a lot of room for you to walk around.. and of course lazy bum like me.. I just went to the main area and then stand in the shade.. It's very hot and sunny that day... I started to have sunburn during that visit and sweat like a straight out from a bath...

Overview of one of the building...

Nice pose leh.... I know..

The back part of the temple...

After to the temple.. we went to the shooting range.. Yeah!! Real gun at last.. If you think you can shoot like Chow Yun Fatt, then you must've watch too much movie.. This place gives you the real gun and real bullets for you to shoot.. You can choose from handgun right up to pump gun.. the cost is about RM88 to RM100 depending on what type of gun you choose... I took a 0.45 caliber which is a mid-rank type of bullets.. The firing power is higher than normal...

I took a 0.48 caliber gun... Cool huh.... Police!!.. Raise your hand..

After the shooting... we're brought to the best place in Phuket to see sunset.. the place was beautiful and lots of people... We're just about in time to see the sunset and I got some shots of the sunset.. Dunno nice or not.. For me.. they're good...

Monument at the sunset viewing place.. Forgot the name of the place..

Well, so long for now coz need to get back to work liao.. I snake my time to upload this for you all.. ahha.. I'll continue to upload it tomorrow yah..
Cheers...

Hi people.. I kinna lost track since my last post.. I think its about 2 months back right? Sigh.. Honestly, I do not have the time since I place my ass in this working desk of mine in this new company.. How's my job? Well, I couldn't say its bad or good but for me, its not as good as what you guys think.. Life here is really hectic and you really do not have the time to even make a piss.. Too much things to do with so little time.. Basically I finish my work around 9pm - 10pm everyday and to make it worse, even Sat & Sun have to work at home.. In my opinion, this company is really short-handed and they need more manpower to run... Anyway, small company, what you expect.. Actually its not as per what I have in mind about this job (like coming out with marketing strategies, advising client what is the next step to do in marketing.. planning job you know?) but in the end, what I got myself involved in is that visiting the computer retail outlets throughout M'sia and tons and tons of non marketing related reports and work.. What the heck!

Then why am I so free to make a post now? Hm.. Let's see.. Its because I'm on the lookout again... Sigh.. This is terrible for me and I'll be going jobless end of this month if I dun get one by then.. Thought the other side of the grass is greener but land myself in a place with no grass at all.. How to be green leh? Been getting referrals from my previous bosses but well.. No hit.. Sigh.. Haven't life been any lower than this? Or is it I really do not know what I want in my life..

Sherman & Carmen

Ok.. I have been to another wedding last month.. If you can recall, this wedding is from the post which I have posted on June... This was their actual wedding ceremony.... This time round, I was the driver for the groom and wherever the groom wanted to go, I'm the man on the steering wheel.. The night before, the groom had their dinner at Mid Valley, Spring Garden Restaurant.. You must be asking why not on the night after the ceremony.. Well, I was told that the reservation was fully booked for that night.. Hm.. Must be really good business...
We're suppose to be picking up the bride about 8.30am on Sunday and to my surprise, when I reach the groom's place, this is what I saw...

Peace My Man.. I'm still on my pyjamas...

Well, happy man was still on the pyjamas... But actually we still have time so why not.. hehe.. Few minutes later, the brothers were all arriving to gear up for 'Lets Pick Up The Bride' session...

Heng Tai chilling out...

While waiting for the groom the get ready, I was helped out to carry the stuffs that we needed to bring along with us to the bride's place... We have a basket of oranges with wine, roast pig, and of course the most important of all, the hand bouquet...

We started our journey and reached the bride's place about 9.00am and following Chinese customs, the groom have to wait outside for a while to let the bride to get ready, the younger brother have to feed the groom and last but not least, the sisters/army to get ready... In the mean time, the parents started to prepare for prayers..

Arrived at the bride's place.. Ok.. I'm starting to get nervous now..

Ok... Door opened already.. Where's my ang pow?

One big egg with one bite.. Imagine how big his mouth is.. Umm.. Yummy..
Parents in Law preparing for prayers....

The gifts we brought along with us...
Its time to go and get the bride.... Of course you can't unless you complete the tasks as the sisters told you to do... The groom have to do push up and say I Love You in 8 different languages.. Eh.. Not that easy mate.. He has to take a bite of crackers with chilli sauce in between and while doing the push up and say the word I Love You... He completed this task like eating peanuts.. After that, he has to do pole dancing and of course, as brothers, we negotiated but failed.. and I have to be the pole for him... The father-in-law brought make it more fun by singing with a guitar... Not bad man I say...

He really can qualify for Elvis mate...

Pole dancing session... I'm the pole...

To satisfy the crowd, he does as they wanted.. We danced.. I'm the pole and the groom took off some button.. ahaha.. the sisters went wild... Actually there were more tasks but as always, the mother-in-law came and ask them hold on to their horses and let the groom go due to the time constraint... hehe.. Lucky for us!!

Muacks!!!! Finally....

Isn't this couple cute? Hehe... Nice smell you got there.. Sniff Sniff..

Prayer Session...
After the prayers and of course its time for the tea ceremony... Nowadays tea ceremony is getting casual unlike last time when my uncles and aunties got married and have to be serious... In this century, during the ceremony, the relatives around can crack jokes and laughing all the way... But of course this is supposed to be a happy occassion and laughing is nothing wrong.. After all that, we made our way back to grooms place and the ceremony was repeated... I meant the tea ceremony... and all other people started their lunch that was provided by the groom's parents...
The bouquet...
Yes.. Here we go... Darling carry into the room...
That's all for the post this time and wish this newly wed a everlasting marriage.. hehe...
